Sizing: Measure the circumference of your head where the hat sits in centimeters to find your head size.
1. I have bought 7 hats since Feb. 2025, namely, 3 Olive Green and 4 Blacks. Prices are affordable.
2. Hats fit my eye perfectly, shades my eyes proficiently from the sharp glare of the North-west Indian sun.
3. I use these hats for walking long distances at the Sukhna lake, Chandigarh, and while traversing very dense tree, scrub and thorn jungle of the Shivalik foothills of Punjab and Chandigarh, sometimes more than 20 km in a day, to observe and write on wild species. The hats brave a lot of wear and tear including the attrition of thorny bushes and a maze of low-hanging tree branches.
4. The BEST feature of the Olive Planet hats is the WIDE and STIFF brim, which does not droop like a floppy hat.
5. Some suggestions: (i) the dye used in the Black Boonie hats should be strengthened to last longer and pre-empt fading (ii) the green Boonie Hats' brim is, relatively speaking, not as stiff and elegant as the Black ones (iii) the hats tend to get the brim wrinkled and twisted in shipment as no stiff cardboard cover is used to enclose the hat and preserve its original shape.
